Today we worked on creating environments.  We did a quick warm up, passing energy around the circle.  We played a game called Doors.  Then we played Coming Home.

Today we had a small class as the Marching Band students were on their way to Syracuse.  We did a quick eye contact warm up.  We played "Word at a Time Story".  We did some "Freeze & Go" scenes and added status to the scenes.

Today we made letters as a group.  Then we played a quick Lions, Tigers & Bears.  Then we played "Freeze & Go".  Finally we added emotions and character voices to our "Freeze & Go" scenes.

Today we breathed together.  Then we drew emotions from a cup and acted out scenes inspired by the emotions we drew.  At the end of class, we started "Freeze & Go" scenes where the actors are posed by other actors and the positioning inspires the character choices.

Today we talked about maintaining focus in our work.  We also talked about the definition of character.  Then, we played "Who am I" and used relationships to start improv scenes.  Finally, we morphed into "Emotion Scenes" where we drew emotions out of a cup and used them to start improv scenes.

Today we played Lions, Tigers, & Bears. We played "Say Yes". We discussed stereotypes in characterization.  Then, we played "Who am I".

Today we passed imaginary objects around the circle. Then we shared our findings about what actors say regarding acting. Finally, we were each assigned a famous theater teacher or director to learn about. We will present our findings on Monday of next week.

Today was our final Train Exercise.  Our train was pretty full and we didn't have enough seats. We reflected on the exercise. We talked about our thoughts on acting.  We named actors that we admire.
